(I bought this laptop at a local Fry's but I wanted to review it here) I have been using this laptop to run The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on ULTRA HIGH settings all maxed with no lag. I get 60 FPS and when running bandicam, it stays the same! No drop of FPS.
Some people do not like Windows 8, and not having the start menu was very annoying, but I have adjusted perfectly by installing a program called Start8, which has a start menu that looks great for the windows 8 theme (you can also change it to look like the windows 7 start menu). The program is $5 though, so if you are looking for a free alternative I suggest "Startisback".

This laptop does not come with bloatware but comes with NVIDIA Control Panel (which is on pretty much all NVIDIA rigs), SteelSeries Engine (which lets you change the keyboard settings, macros, and LED color), Dragon Gaming center, and a few more. They are all useful.

This is a pretty new laptop, as it was recently added to my local stores and amazon.

MSI is actually not a cheap brand. MSI is most known for good computer parts, but they also make great computers.

PROS:
- Fast
- No Lag
- Newer GPU
- Light up keyboard (you can set the color of the LEDs to anything you want)
- Portable
- Not heavy
- Large clear display
- No glare on display
- You can switch between intel integrated graphics and the NVIDIA GeForce 860m GPU to save battery. (Use intel integrated graphics while web browsing, etc, and use the NVIDIA GeForce when gaming or using graphically intense programs)

CONS:
- Computer gets warm when gaming, but I just made sure the left side (where the vents are) were ventilated and it was fine.
- Games lag when the laptop is unplugged and running on battery (but this happens with pretty much all laptops I know of)
it doesnt make popcorn

I received about a day ago, and I'm quite impressed with the performance of this laptop. First off, the packaging was solid, so I wasn't really worried about damage from delivery. Opening the case, I found a neat, organized box. All the anti static bags were sealed and all parts arrived perfectly. A quick warning though, if you're going to register your laptop for the warranty, which you should, please make sure that you get the serial number that's in the battery port before you place it an boot it up.

The laptop is sleek and attractive. I read a couple of reviews where they read that it looks cheap, because it definitely doesn't. The only issue I have with the matte finish is that it gets dirty so quickly. I jokingly said that I'm going to have to put on a pair of gloves whenever I use or carry it. In regards to performance, performance is great, especially for the price. I'm running recent triple A games with no problem. Some games carry a little struggle, but a quick fps lock to 30 or 45 will resolve that. Considering that the boost goes up to 3.4 ghz, this shouldn't be a problem either. The display on the machine is beautiful and clear. I personally like machines this wide, so it's not a problem for me.

The keyboard itself is good. The RGB is very nice and sleek. It's not overpowering to the point where it blinds you. The customization is fun as well. The Steelseries keyboard is smooth, and jelly-feeling. This is a minor turnoff for me, as I am a fan of mechanical keyboards, but as far as laptop keyboards go, it's smooth sailing that I don't mind. It comes with a few extra inputs, euro symbol, built in numpad and such.

The trackpad.....oh, the trackpad....This is the only issue that I have with the laptop. The trackpad with sluggish and has a very mechanical feel which sometimes makes me wonder if this was the one part of the laptop that they did not invest too much in. Now, I have not fiddled too much with any other settings for the track pad, so I will edit it this with an update.

Overall, 9/10. A definite easy buy I would recommend for any college student, gamer enthusiast and even casual users. For less than a the price of a Macbook Pro, you have this behemoth of a laptop that outperforms nearly all laptops in its price range.
